DENVER, N.C. - Ralph Eugene Ballenger, age 82, of Denver passed away Friday, July 19, 2024 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

Born November 16, 1941 in Polk County, Florida, he was the son of the late Harold Eugene Ballenger and the late Pearl Coleman Ballenger. Ralph was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He retired from AT&T and loved hunting and fishing. Ralph was a member of Mt. Anderson Baptist Church in Maiden.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 58 years Joyce Ballenger of the home; two daughters Pamela Ballenger Parrett of Charlotte, Kimberly Ballenger and husband Wes Wilson of Lake Wylie, S.C.; six grandchildren Gatlin Parrett, Cade Parrett, Dawson Ballenger-Wilson, Cody Ballenger-Wilson, Kylie Ballenger and Tyler Ballenger.

The funeral service was held Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 3 p.m. at Mt. Anderson Baptist Church - Maiden with Rev. Donald Cline officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2-2:45 p.m. at the church.

Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
