Steven Hunter Langdon
Steven Hunter Langdon, age 68, of Plateau Road in Vale, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 9, 2025, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Steve Gandy officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
Steven was born March 17, 1956, in Heidelberg, Germany, to the late Ralph Hunter Langdon and Janie Mafalda Milligan Langdon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Edward Langdon. He had previously worked as an accountant. Steven loved God, his wife and his family as well as his country. He enjoyed many hobbies, including backpacking with his brothers, woodworking, beach vacations with his family, and cooking in Grumpy’s kitchen. He loved his dogs, Sunny and Luna, and spending time outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Lori Langdon of the home; three sons, Shawn Akia Blankenship (Michelle) of Newton, Shannon Micah Blankenship (Kim) of Gainesville, GA, and Joshua Steven Langdon (Geoffrey) of Kalamazoo, MI; daughter, Alena Reyan Maudlin (Jon) of Lawndale; two brothers, Gregory Stewart Langdon (Abbe) of Greenville, SC, and Richard Truett Langdon (Tammy) of Charlotte; sister-in-law, Susanne Langdon of Cary; ten grandchildren, Alexis Anderson, Nina Mault, Luke Blankenship, Carmen Kite, Brittany Blankenship, Ashley Blankenship, Shane Blankenship, Madelynn Purser, Wyatt Purser, and Lilian Purser; and three great-grandchildren, Gray Mault, J.T. Mault, and Adeline Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Samaritan’s Purse, Hurricane Helene Relief, PO Box 6000, Boone, NC 28607.
Warlick Funeral Home is serving the Langdon family.
