LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Tony Allen Carpenter, age 42, of Lincolnton, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at his home.

Tony was born April 13, 1982, in Gaston County to Carol Flack Carpenter and the late Ricky Allen Carpenter. Tony graduated from Gaston College with a major in Automotive Systems Technology. He was a skilled mechanic and could fix anything. He was employed as a parts delivery driver with Advanced Auto Parts in Gastonia. Tony loved animals and had many reptiles, including a bearded dragon, a gecko, and several rare turtles. Tony was a genuinely caring person and was always willing to help others.

In addition to his father, Tony was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William “Dub” and Bonnie Mae Neal Carpenter; and his maternal grandfather, Fred Flack.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Carol Carpenter; sister, Tracy Carpenter; grandmother, Ruby Flack; aunt, Cathy Johnston (Johnny Hartman); cousins, Casey Sills, Willow Seals, and Jennifer Johnston and family; nephews and niece, Joshua Dylan Carpenter, Natalie Ann-Marie Roberts, and Jerimiah David Roberts; his American Pitbull, Tone; and his cat, Sylvester.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Hephzibah ARP Church Cemetery with Pastor Brant Wilkie and Rev. Zac Mayhue officiating.
