Tracy Benfield Garland
Tracy Benfield Garland, 56 , of Hickory, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory.
She was born October 10, 1968 in Iredell County to the late Charles Randolph Benfield and Gloria Faye Ball Schoolcraft. Tracy was employed in the retail industry, enjoyed going live on tiktok and loved drawing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ernest Ball and sister, Loyane Propst.

Shelly Kelly and husband Kevin of Wilmington
Grandchild: Colton Alexander Immanuel Garland
Nephews: Christopher Walls, James Propst Jr., Randolph Scott Propst, Camron Reid, Christian Kelly and Tyler Guynn
Nieces: Summer Beasley, Mary Kelly, Zoey Taylor, and Taylor Alexis Guynn
Godchildren: Marissa Williamson, Courtney Rose, and Jerika Stoddard-Hayes
A memorial service to celebrate Tracy’s life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Catawba Valley Pentecostals in Newton. Pastor Mull will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Catawba Valley Pentecostals.
