SOCCER
West Lincoln 1, Bandy’s 3: The score doesn’t indicate how close this game truly was! West scored first with a goal from Gustavo Otero-Torres from an assist from Edwin Ramirez. Then with about 3-minutes in the first half Bandy’s ties the score 1-1. Then Bandy’s takes the lead on a mid-communication on defense making the score 2-1 in Bandy’s favor. And with less than 3-minutes Bandy’s adds another goal to go 3-1 on what should have been an offside call. During which the play was stopped for an injury to Bandy’s and West Lincoln players when the goal was awarded to Bandy’s. West defensively was led by Luke Moretz with 35 play stops, Caleb Brooks with 35 play stops, Chase Driscoll with 20, Jerick Alvarado with 28 play stops and Reid Sellers with 22 play stops. Goalie Grayson Gilbert had 25 saves on 28 shots. West takes the field again on Wednesday at home against Maiden at 6:30 p.m.

SOCCER
West 3, Maiden 3: West and Maiden battled to a 3-3 tie after regulation and two 10-minute overtime periods! Offensively West was led in scoring by Edwin Ramirez with 2 goals and an assist to Gustavo Otero-Torres for West third goal. Defensively west was led by Luke Moretz with 38 play stops, Reid Sellers with 30 play stops, Gregorio Soto with 25 play stops, Chase Driscoll with 26 play stops, Jerick Alvarado with 30 play stops and Caleb Brooks with 40 play stops. Goalie Grayson Gilbert stopped 24 shots out of 27 shots on goal persevering the tie. West plays again Monday at Bunker Hill.
TENNIS
The West Lincoln Ladies' tennis team had a successful week. They defeated Maiden, 5-4, on Wednesday and Bunker Hill, 9-0, on Thursday.
