Totally ban the use of cell phones for ALL drivers in a moving vehicle. That will go a long way towards safer highway conditions. I also have a problem with the enforcement (by all agencies) of the headlight laws during rain periods and for that matter anytime the need arises for darker conditions. All vehicles have some type of easily used control for headlights ....USE IT FOOLS!!!!!!
Thank you sir. Now, I do admit to using my cell phone's GPS for directions, but that's the only function I use it for while operating a motor vehicle. Absolutely, cell phones are too distracting for not just texting, but using the phone function as well while driving. Good call (no pun intended). We all need to be super focused on the road. Have a great day!
I guess I'm old school ...I still use a map or a predetermined set of written directions which I will stop beside a highway to view. We own three different GPS systems, wife's phone, a old Garmin unit, and one came on my Toyota truck. I trust none of them since they have all caused me to be lost or going the wrong way at some point in using them. Ours even have the speaking voice feature which can be safer while driving but I sit behind the wheel and laugh at where it tells me to go. I just quit using any of them and always tend to rely on my aforementioned tried and true methods. I very seldom use my antique flip phone and usually tell a caller to hold the line until I pull over and stop. There's too many pathetic, dangerous drivers in this town and surrounding towns that require full defensive attention to risk being on a phone call that can wait.
I’ve lived here all my life but your husband and I would get along well. I love my windows open till the temperature hits the 90’s, longer daylight hours and the smell of fresh cut grass. I don’t like snakes, pollen or having to run the raccoons away from my porch.
Maybe they could get the homeless people to be the re-enactors, since they are taking over the library anyway! At least they’ll be there for the show.
Watch the Handmaids Tale much? I still take this as an indictment of conservatives and ginning up fear of conservative values. However I am always glad to read you opinions.
Yes sir, I've never seen that show, but I've seen the advertisements. I certainly can see where a conservative Christian would take issue with my article and I want to point out that lately Christians have been unfairly targeted as being responsible for all of the bigotry and hate in our nation, which of course is not the true message of Christ. I always note that thanks to Christians, who make up the majority in our nation, freedom of religion has always been extended and protected for all. Thanks for reading. Be well. Eric
That is why I like reading your opinion pieces Eric. We don't see eye to eye on some issues but you have a trait that is becoming less and less prevalent. That is common sense. Thank you my friend for expressing your opinion and being willing to listen to different ones.
Thank you sir. I appreciate that. I hope you enjoy the rest of your week. It's going to be hot. Drink plenty if you have to cut that grass. :)
I couldn't see the verse to make a comment.
