Brenda Young Ford
August 6, 1944 – September 20, 2024
CLAREMONT, N.C. - Brenda Young Ford, 80, of Claremont, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Catawba Valley Living at Rock Barn.
She was born August 6, 1944 in Burke County to the late Roy Hammer Young and Charlotte McKinney Young. Brenda was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed visiting and ministering at nursing homes.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, J.D. Hildebran; her husband of 57 years, James M. Ford; and sister, Gail Falls.
Those left to cherish her memory is her son Jim Hildebran and wife Wendy of Hickory; daughters Beverly Ortega, Vickie Shaw and husband Thomas of Covington, Ga.; sisters Mary Church and husband Ronnie of Hickory, Betty Shook of Hickory, Alice Holland of Hickory; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate Brenda’s life was held on Friday, September 27, 2024 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Bennett Funeral Service, 7878 NC Hwy 16, Newton. Rev. Tommy Young officiated. Inurnment followed at Eastview Cemetery in Newton.
