Crouse UMC Free Community Breakfast, Saturday, August 10: Join us for a FREE Home Cooked Breakfast with Friends and Neighbors on Saturday, August 10 from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. Breakfast menu varies each month. McKendree Methodist Breakfast, Saturday, August 10: A Full Country Breakfast with breakfast meats, eggs, grits, hashbrowns, juice, homemade biscuits and coffee will be held on Saturday, August 10 from 7 to 10 a.m. at McKendree Methodist Church, 3537 Maiden Hwy., Lincolnton, NC 28092. Requested donation of $7 per person with both dine-in and take-out available.

Lowesville Gospel Concerts/Vineyard Church, The Montgomerys and Justified Quartet, Saturday, August 10: Vineyard Church (formerly Living Word Ministries), 1062 South Hwy 16, Stanley (Lowesville), NC presents the The Montgomerys and Justified Quartet on Saturday, August 10 at 5 p.m. All our concerts are No Admission Cost, a freewill offering only will be received, and you are invited. We have concerts every 2nd and 4th Saturday. The church is located 1.8 miles south of the intersection of Highways 73 and 16 Business. Crowell Memorial Church 50s Fun Night, Saturday, August 17: Bring you old car and dress up for our 50s Fun Night from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Crowell Memorial Church, 4018 Killian Rd., Lincolnton, NC 28092. McKendree MC Sunday Luncheon, August 18: McKendree Methodist Church, 3537 Maiden Highway, Lincolnton, NC 28092 announces its monthly "3rd Sunday Luncheon" on August 18 from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Varied menu, served with bread, drinks, and desserts. A requested donation of $8 per plate supports multiple ministries.  Both dine-in and takeout available.

Bethel Baptist Gospel Music Jam, Friday, August 23: Join us at Bethel Baptist Church, 200 Bethel Church Rd., Lincolnton, NC 28092 for our monthly Gospel Music Jam on the fourth Friday of each month at 6 p.m. Come play, sing, fellowship, and eat a meal with us. Reggie and Bridgette Saddler are joined by their daughter, Ingra. All our concerts are No Admission Cost, a freewill offering only will be received, and you are invited. Antioch Methodist Homecoming, Sunday, August 25: Former members, friends and relatives of Antioch Methodist Church, Crouse, N.C. are invited to the annual homecoming on Sunday, August 25, 2024. Antioch closed 60 years ago but each year many former members and descendants come to the little country church located off of Hwy. 150 in Crouse. Come early to get reacquainted and stay for the worship service at 11 a.m. with guest speaker Rev. Dr. Bud Black. A covered dish meal will follow in the arbor with a business session afterwards in the church (In case of inclement weather the meal and business meeting will be held at Crouse United Methodist Church). During the Worship Service a special love offering for the Building and Cemetery Fund will be taken.

Bethel Baptist Community Breakfast, Saturday, September 7: Join us at Bethel Baptist Church, 200 Bethel Church Rd., Lincolnton, NC 28092 for our Community Breakfast (1st Saturday of every month 7 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.). We will be serving all of your country favorites, along with something sweet and a breakfast casserole! Donations only. Bethel Baptist Church service times: Sunday School 9 a.m.; Sunday Worship 10 a.m.; Sunday Night Service 5:30 p.m.; Wednesday Night Bible Study 6 p.m.; Pack 72, Troop 72B and 72G meetings are held at 6 p.m. on Wednesdays.
