Crash In Lenoir Kills One, Tuesday Morning
Jeremy Allan Wilson, 45, is dead
LENOIR––A crash in Lenoir killed a local man this morning (Aug. 13).
According to Master Trooper Christopher Casey of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, at around 10 a.m., NCSHP personnel responded to and investigated a fatal collision in Caldwell County on Beecher Anderson Road at Ted Seehorn Drive. A 1999 Ford “F-150,” travelling north on Beecher Anderson Road, failed to reduce speed adequately and collided with a 2004 Chevrolet truck that was stopped in the northbound lane, waiting to turn left.
Casey continues that the driver of the Ford, Jeremy Allan Wilson, 45, of Lenoir, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
“Two passengers in the vehicle were transported by EMS to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries,” the trooper adds.
The driver of the Chevrolet, Timothy Kaleb Owens, 35 and also of Lenoir, was transported by EMS to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
“The preliminary investigation indicates impairment was not a contributing factor in the collision,” Casey states. “During the on-scene investigation, the roadway was closed in the area for approximately one hour. No charges will be filed in this case.”
