Daries Eugene Spencer
October 22, 1933 – September 7, 2024
LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Daries Eugene Spencer, age, 90, of Lincolnton entered into heaven on Saturday, September 7, 2024.
Daries was the youngest of five siblings, he was born on October 22, 1933, to the late Loyd Spencer and Minne Cook Spencer.
Daries enthusiastically and faithfully served in the U.S. Army for over 22 years, retiring from military service in 1972. Daries was stationed at numerous bases and countries during his service including multiple tours to Korea and was wounded for his country in the Korean War.
Daries is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Grace Crouse Spencer, and their daughter Karmen Spencer, both of Lincolnton.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at Amity Baptist Church, 881 Amity Church Road, Denver NC 28037, on Sunday September 15, 2024, at 2 p.m. with Reverend Earl Cross officiating.
