David Theodore Hefner
David Theodore Hefner, 75, of Newton, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at his residence.
He was born January 2, 1950 in Catawba County to the late Peverlee Carlton Hefner and Rose Dean Propst Hefner. David was a member of Oxford Baptist Church in Conover and retired as an insurance appraiser.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Hefner.

Daughters: Angelina “Angel” Parker and husband Stephen of Maiden
Stephanie Leigh Hefner of Albuquerque, NM
Step-Son: Timothy Dustin McGuire and wife Kayla of Hickory
Step-Daughter: Mindy Blackwell and husband Michael of Dallas, TX
Grandchildren: Whitney Williams (Jeffrey), Mercedes Hyder, Grace Parker, Gabby Parker, Reagan Hyder, Katelynn McGuire, Addison Blackwell, Madison McGuire, Maddie McGuire, Archer Blackwell, Paisley McGuire, Beck McGuire, Breanna McGuire, and Anderson McGuire
Great-Grandchildren: Hunter Williams and Hayley Williams
A service to celebrate David’s life will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Oxford Baptist Church in Conover. Rev. Joel Frye and Rev. Gary Murry will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:45 p.m. at Oxford Baptist Church.
