Dean Houser
Dean Houser, age 77, of Long Shoals Road in Lincolnton, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025.
His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Pisgah Methodist Church with Pastor Stan Nantz officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Houser was born April 18, 1947, in Lincoln County, son of the late Harry and Essie Mosteller Houser. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anita Shuford Houser; sister, Hazeline Heafner; and brothers, Frank, Palmer and Bob. Dean worked in upholstery.
He is survived by a son, Marshall “Marty” Houser (Jennipher) of Lincolnton; daughter, Nicole Avery (Chad) of Lincolnton; brothers, Bill Houser, Fred Houser, and Donald Houser, all of Vale; grandchildren, Heather Flynn, Niki Gilbert, Marshall Houser II, and Trevor Houser; and great-grandchildren, Dailen Adams, Kendall Adams, and Kaine Hunter.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Avenue, Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28207.
