Dolly May Griffith
January 16, 1934 – August 21, 2024
NEWTON, N.C. - Dolly May Griffith, 90, of Newton, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at TerraBella in Newton.
She was born January 16, 1934 in Pike County, Ky. to the late Tilden May and Rosalie Slone May. Dolly was a member of the Church of Christ in McAndrews, Ky.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Runyon; brothers, Denny, Olen, and Kenny; and sisters, Ada, Viola, Stella, and Maxie.
Those left to cherish her memory is her husband of nine years Clyde Griffith Jr. of the home; daughter Thelma Runyon (Shannon Hansley) of Maiden; stepsons Doug Griffith and wife Marianne of Ohio, Mike Griffith of Ohio; stepdaughter Lauren Disanto of Florida; granddaughters Alyssa Gibson (Billy Clark) and Allyson Gibson (Nathan Parker).
A service to celebrate Dolly’s life will be held at a later date at R.E. Roger Funeral Home in Kentucky.
