George Leon Zinnerman
September 12, 1933 – September 1, 2024
STANLEY, N.C. - Mr. George Leon Zinnerman, 90, of Stanley transitioned on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at Novant Health in Huntersville.
He was born in Richmond County on September 12, 1933 to the late Alexander Zinnerman and Frances Conwell Zinnerman. He was a member of Rock Hill United Methodist Church.
Funeral Service was held Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Rock Hill United Methodist Church with burial following in the Rock Hill/Gold Hill cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
There was a public viewing on Friday from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Willie M. Zinnerman; a son, Robert Zimmerman (Jan); two daughters, Harriet Zimmerman Fitzgerald, Maryann Zimmerman; four sisters, Gladys Bell (Roy), Betty Smitherman, Sallie Thomas, Francine Gustine (Michael); and two grandchildren.
Ebony & White’s Funeral Service of Lincolnton, N.C. is serving the Zinnerman family.
