Jean “Pickle” Faye Nolen Edwards
May 10, 1943 — July 15, 2026
LINCOLNTON, N.C.—Jean “Pickle” Faye Nolen Edwards, age 83, of Lincolnton, passed away at home on Thursday, July 15, 2026.
She was born on May 10, 1943 to the late James Lloyd and Margaret Nolen. Jean loved her family very deeply. Pickle loved going on her annual “girls’ trip” to the mountains, and Mother’s Day trips to the beach. Family Christmas celebrations at Brenda’s were especially meaningful to her.
Pickle was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marlon Edwards; her son Rick Edwards; her great-grandson, Raziel Palmer; one brother, Butch Nolen; and one sister, Doris Baumgardner.
Jean is survived by her daughter Terry and son-in-law Danny Johnson; one sister, Brenda Roberts; six grandchildren (wives & husbands): Nicole and Glenda Jones, Rowdy and Emily Edwards, Samantha and James Thornton, Misty and Robbie Callster, Chance and Brittany Branham, Alexa Berry; four great-grandchildren: Ella Callster, Lincoln Callster, Raelyn Palmer, Persephone Thornton; many special nieces and nephews; and many other cherished relatives and friends.
The Edwards family will receive friends on Friday, July 24, 2026 from 2-3 p.m. at Highland Drive Freewill Baptist Church in Lincolnton, with a service to follow at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary of Highland Drive Freewill Baptist Church. Pastor Luke Johnson will officiate. Interment will follow at Asbury Methodist Cemetery in Lincolnton.
