John Rhyne Carpenter
John Rhyne Carpenter, age 88, of Victory Grove Church Road in Lincolnton, North Carolina, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 1, 2025, surrounded by his granddaughter, great-granddaughters, and great-great-granddaughters. Mr. Carpenter was born January 1, 1937, in Lincoln County, North Carolina, son of the late Samuel Thomas and Emma Elizabeth Rhyne Carpenter.
Mr. Carpenter is survived by his daughters, Pamela Carpenter Mixon of Lincolnton, NC, and Tammy Carpenter Blanco (Luis) of Pikeville, NC; grandchildren, Kristy Meadows (William), Christopher Moody, Joshua Carpenter, Jonathan Carpenter, Matthew Carpenter (Ashley), and Kelly Carpenter, all of Lincolnton, NC; great-grandchildren, Katelyn Hopper, Kassidy Bravo, Kylie Bravo, Maisley Meadows, Ayda Carpenter, Maxxon Carpenter, Rhilynn Carpenter, Madilyn Ballard, and Makayla Ballard; great-great-grandchildren, Aaralyn Jones, Emberleigh Bravo, Prince Sadler, and Rosaleigh Hovis.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Carpenter was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Powell Carpenter; son, Johnny Allen Carpenter; and twelve siblings.
A funeral service for Mr. Carpenter will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Victory Grove Baptist Church, Lincolnton, NC, with Reverend David Jarrell officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Lincolnton, NC. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Warlick Funeral Home.
