Larry Burrette Sharpe

LAWNDALE, N.C. - Larry Burrette Sharpe, age 76, of Sugar Hill Road in Lawndale, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
His funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Blessed Way Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:45 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Larry was born May 22, 1948, in Iredell County, to the late George Wilson Sharpe and Christine Jurney Sharpe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Roberta Nolan Sharpe, and brothers Danny and Scott Sharpe. He worked as a green’s superintendent.
He is survived by a son, Jeremy Sharpe (Amy) of Lawndale; stepson, Michael Self of Lawndale; grandsons, Michael Martinez (Felicia) and Josh Martinez (Hunter Sharpe); brothers, Steve Sharpe of Denver, and Mike Sharpe of Lincolnton; sisters, Ann Owens of Lincolnton, Lucy Wilson of Chester, S.C., and Sandy Lee of Denver; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles; and great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Martinez.
Warlick Funeral Home of Lincolnton, N.C. is serving the Sharpe family.
