Lincoln Herald Seeking Part-Time News Reporter
LINCOLNTON, N.C. — The Lincoln Herald is looking for a dependable, community-minded individual to join our team as a part-time news reporter.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is retired or simply looking for flexible, part-time work while staying involved in the Lincoln County community.
The position involves writing news articles, taking photographs, conducting occasional interviews and helping cover local events, government meetings, schools, businesses and community activities.
One of the biggest advantages of this opportunity is its flexibility. Most writing and research can be completed from home without the need to report anywhere. Some assignments will require attending local events or meeting with people in the community.
We're looking for someone who enjoys writing, has basic computer skills, can take quality photographs and has a genuine interest in keeping our community informed.
Previous journalism experience is helpful but not required. Good communication skills, dependability and a willingness to learn are equally important.
This is not a full-time position and does not require a major time commitment. We're simply looking for someone who enjoys local news and would like to contribute to the Lincoln Herald.
