Linda Rudisill McGinnis, age 66, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Linda was born on February 22, 1958, in Lincolnton, where she grew up and built a life full of love and joy.

She married Jimmie McGinnis in 1994 and raised three wonderful children. Linda was known for her warm heart, her kindness, and her unwavering faith. She spent much of her life serving her community and was a cherished member of her church. As her last act of selfless service, she will continue to help others by using her body for further cancer research.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmie; her children, John F. Dancoff Jr. (Olivia), Bethany (Dancoff) Lerch, Adam J. Dancoff (Sabrina); beloved grandchildren Andrea, Adelynn, Madison, Landon, Eli, and Charlee. Linda is also survived by her sister Mary Jo Bridges.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Mary Rudisill; and her siblings Jean, Ann, Larry, and Ernest “Butch.”

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at The Laboratory Mill, 848 South Fork Rd., Lincolnton. Family and friends will gather from 5-8 p.m., with a special message from her Pastor at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Wesleyan Church Wesleyan Women’s Missions Fund, a cause dear to Linda’s heart (115 Bonview Ave., Lincolnton NC 28092).

Linda’s family would like to thank all of those who have provided support and comfort during this difficult time. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her sweet spirit and loving soul.
