Lorene Elizabeth Paysour Grigg
Lorene Elizabeth Paysour Grigg, age 99, of Paysour Pond Road in Iron Station, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025.
Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Alexis Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Grigg was born June 6, 1925, in Gaston County, to the late Russell U. Paysour and Bertie Huffstettler Paysour. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Grigg, and a brother, Raymond Paysour. She was the former co-owner and operator of Grigg & Paysour Grocery for 30+ years.
She is survived by a son, Frank Alan “Bud” Grigg and wife Becky of Iron Station; daughter, Mrs. Patricia Grigg Gilbert and husband Wayne of Iron Station; sister, Bonnie Paysour Johnson of Davidson; grandsons, John Michael Gilbert (Sandra) of Lincolnton, and Rusty Grigg and wife Amy of Iron Station; and great-grandchildren, Katie, Kimberly and Riley Gilbert, and Robbie Grigg.
The Grigg family would like to express their gratitude to the caregivers that provided tender loving care to Lorene.
