Mary Lou Hicks Berry
December 3, 1941 – August 15, 2024
TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. - Mary Lou Hicks Berry, 82, of Taylorsville passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem.
She was born December 3, 1941 in Avery County to the late Everette and Mary Clark Hicks. Mary was a member of Joy Baptist Church in Conover and retired from the textile industry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Berry; and daughter, Sheila Bevins.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons Dale Bevins and wife Donna Hester of Hickory, Tony Bevins of Taylorsville; grandchildren Michael Shane Bevins, Erica Renee Bevins, Eric Dale Bevins, Natasha Marie Ussery; great-grandchildren Chasity Bevins, Savanah Bevins, Michael Bevins, Tiara Layshay Ikard, Haley Danielle Bevins, Colton Dale Bevins, Mitchell Dale Bevins, Samuel Dale Bevins, and A’Lyvica Jade Bevins.
A memorial service to celebrate Mary’s life will be held at a later date.
