LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Rachel Mana Geddings McCollough, age 75, of Arden Drive in Lincolnton, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024. 

Mrs. McCollough was born August 25, 1948, in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, daughter of the late Marvin T. and Ethel Mana Geddings.

A beloved member of her neighborhood, she also found joy in serving in various roles at First Baptist Church.  Rachel also cherished spending time with her family and friends, appreciating the beauty of nature, and tending to her yard.  Her passion for Clemson football was well-known to everyone who knew her.

Mrs. McCollough is survived by her husband, William W. McCollough Sr. of the home; son, W. Welch McCollough Jr. and wife Heather of Lincolnton; grandchildren, Lily Grace McCollough and Kate McCollough; and brother, James Jackson Geddings of Spartanburg, S.C.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. McCollough was preceded in death by her brothers, Allan N. Geddings and Marvin T. Geddings Jr.

A memorial service for Mrs. McCollough will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Lincolnton with Rev. Dr. J. Dixon Free and Rev. Franklin H. Herndon officiating.  The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Saturday at the church prior to the service.
