Rev. Dr. Charles Burrel Brown Jr.

DELAND, Fla. - Dr. Charles Burrel Brown, Jr., age 83, of Deland, Fla., died on Sunday, August 25, 2024.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Covenant Church with Dr. Robert Reid, Rev. Mike Devine, and Rev. Nathan Grooms officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
Dr. Brown was born February 10, 1941, in Orlando, Florida to the late Charles Burrel Brown Sr. and Eva Belle DuBose Brown. He was a minister and a man who honored the integrity of the Word of God for 61 years and retired in 2006 after serving at Covenant Bible Church in Lincolnton for 22 of those years.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lynne M. Brown of the home; sons, Charlie Brown III (fiancé Tracey) of Huntersville, Rob Brown (Kara) of Denver, Chris Brown (Jenny) of Lincolnton, and Randy Brown of Lincolnton; daughter, Angie Brown (fiancé Mike Shoup) of Hickory; sister, Nancy Brown of Columbia, S.C.; 22 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Warlick Funeral Home of Lincolnton, N.C. is serving the Brown family.
