Robbery Suspect in Cleveland County Charged with Lincoln County Armed Robbery

LINCOLNTON, N.C. — On Sept. 21, 2025 the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to an armed robbery at Family Dollar located at 4709 E NC 27 Hwy in Iron Station.
The suspect entered the Family Dollar with a handgun and instructed the two female clerks to empty the cash registers into a plastic bag. Further investigation led to the suspect vehicle being a small white SUV.
On Sept. 30, 2025, The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office responded to an attempted armed robbery at a Dollar General, followed by an armed robbery at One Stop Sunset Food Store. It was said that a white sport utility style vehicle was seen leaving the scene.
Cleveland County Deputies and Shelby Police Department were able to stop and apprehend Kashon Sentell Johnson, 27, where he was charged with armed robbery with a dangerous weapon in their county.
With the assistance of CID Lt. Bowen and Det. Weaver, with the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office, Kashon Sentell Johnson was identified and charged with armed robbery with a dangerous weapon of the Lincoln County Family Dollar by Detective Ray with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office
