Tuesday, September 3

SOCCER

West Lincoln 2, Bessemer City 4:  West was led in scoring by Edwin Ramirez with 2 goals and defensively by Luke Moretz and Caleb brooks with 25 play stops each! Grayson Gilbert goalie allowed 4 goals with 25 saves on 29 shots on goal.

VOLLEYBALL

WLHS JV Lost 0-2; Set 1: 18-25, Set 2: 24-26

WLHS Varsity Lost 1-3; Set 1: 23-25, Set 2: 24-26, Set 3: 25-23, Set 4: 22-25

Wednesday, September 4

SOCCER

West Lincoln 3, East Gaston 1

West finally gets off the losing side of things with a 3-1 victory over East Gaston.

Defensively West was led by Caleb Brooks with 35 Play stop Luke Moretz with 33 play stops Reid Sellers with 25 play stops Jerek with 25 stops and Chase Driscoll with 25 stops.  Grayson Gilbert had seven saves on eight shots, allowing one goal tonight.

Offensively West was led by Edwin Ramirez with one goal and two assist the other two goals were scored by Gustavo Torres and Jose Duran.

West plays at East Gaston on Monday

TENNIS

The West Lincoln Ladies tennis team defeated East Gaston Wednesday, 9-0.  Winners were: Stacia Cowan, Natalie Barger, Jada Willis, Kennedy McCumber, Abree Sutton (On her Birthday!), and Payton Hood.  Those ladies all won both singles and doubles. 

Exhibition winners were:  Kaitlyn Carpenter in singles and Madison Parks, Scout Barkley, Grace Hoyle, Raylan Morrison, Ella Boyles, Einsley Woods, Alexis Rector, and Anita Young in doubles.
