Thurn Ned Heavner
August 1, 1931—February 16, 2026
LINCOLNTON, N.C.—Thurn Ned Heavner, age 94, of Lincolnton, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026.
Ned was born August 1, 1931, in Lincoln County, to the late Walt Wilford Heavner and Kate Leatherman Heavner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Earlene Eurey Heavner; and daughters, Sharon Turney and Sue Ann Jackson. He worked as a truck driver for Carolina Freight.
He is survived by his daughters, Beth Mosteller of Lincolnton, and Jane Trakas and husband Greg of Gastonia; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
A private graveside service will be held in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Warlick Funeral Home of Lincolnton, N.C. is serving the Heavner family.
