Woman Accused Of Slashing Some 60 Tires

LINCOLNTON––A woman accused of slashing 60 tires on 18 vehicles was arrested and charged Tuesday.
According to the Lincolnton Police Department, the suspected tire-slasher is Ashlen Beatty, 37. Beatty is charged with damaging tires on vehicles––with some of them having all four tires slashed––that were parked along East Pine and East Sycamore streets.
Police say it all began Monday morning, just after 8 a.m., when she called Lincolnton Family Dentistry, seeking a same-day appointment, only to be turned down.
Also according to the LPD, Beatty now faces 18 counts of property damage.
