Betty Sue Lynn Helms

LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Betty Sue Lynn Helms, age 89, of Victor Street in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, August 4, 2024.
Her funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Covenant Church with Rev. Nathan Grooms officiating. Burial followed in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family received friends from 1-1:45 p.m. on Wednesday at the church.
Betty was born November 4, 1934, in Gaston County, to the late Roy and Bertie Carpenter Lynn. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Rathmul Helms; sister, Ruth Johnson; and brother, Bobby Lynn. She worked in textiles.
She is survived by two sons, Jeff Helms (Sandra) and Mike Helms (Libby), all of Lincolnton; three granddaughters, Heather Robson (Brad), Natalie Minton (Logan), and Abby O’Connor (Patrick); one grandson, Dustin Helms (Sarah); and seven great-grandchildren.
