Ms. Fannie Elizabeth Doty
Cherryville - Ms. Fannie Elizabeth Doty, 89, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Peak Resources in Shelby.
Elizabeth was born on May 28, 1935 in Cleveland County, NC a daughter of the late Garland Doty and Vassie Walker Doty. She was retired as a clerk from Doty's Men & Boys Shop in Cherryville. Elizabeth graduated from Lattimore High School and attended Howards Business College. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Cherryville and the Truth Seekers Sunday school class.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Doty; four brothers, James, Vail, Gene and Ward Doty; sisters-in-law, Frances Clarke, Mozelle Doty and Alma Doty and a nephew Mike Doty.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Marjorie Doty of Shelby; a nephew and three nieces.
The family will receive friends from 12:45PM to 1:45PM on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Cherryville.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Cherryville with Dr. Vince Hefner officiating.
Burial will follow the service in City Memorial Cemetery.
