Thomas Julius Cook
Thomas Julius Cook, age 97 of Ingle Houser Road in Lincolnton passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025.
Mr. Cook was born August 30, 1927 in Lincoln County to the late Loy William Cook and Margaret Griffin Cook. He was also preceded in death by his oldest daughter, Rita Cook Newton; daughter-in-law, Syntha Caldwell Cook; grandson, Todd Newton; two great-great-granddaughters, Alani and Alaya Bowman; and siblings, Clara Cook Meacham, Ruth Cook Winebarger and Lester Loy Cook. He worked in textiles and had a passion for woodworking and making garden. Mr. Cook was a veteran serving in the US Navy during WW ll.
A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Saturday at Warlick Funeral Home prior to the graveside service.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Day Cook; son, Michael T. Cook of Dallas, NC; two daughters, Donna Cook Gardner of Walla Walla, Washington and Marcia Cook Eden of Lincolnton; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
