Larry Edward Osborne

CONOVER, N.C. - Larry Edward Osborne, 74, of Conover, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Carolina Caring in Newton.

He was born August 17, 1948 in Roanoke County, Va. His parents were Lawrence and Nellie Osborne. Larry was a member of Pemberton Missionary Baptist Church in West Virginia and retired from H. T. Hackney Company. He was kind, generous and always ready to help anyone in need. Larry was a loving husband, father and grandfather, always looking out for his family and meeting their needs. He enjoyed watching sports and going to flea markets. Larry’s humble nature and kind hearted spirit was a blessing to all that knew him. He will be thought of and missed forever. Larry had two favorite bible verses; Isaiah 41:10 and John 11:25. We know Larry is at peace with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Willie Nichols and Wayne Nichols; sisters, Libby Vandergrift and Darlene Drewry; and brothers-in-law, Charles Vandergrift and Robert Drewry.

Those left to cherish his memory is his wife of 53 years Carolyn Lester Osborne of the home; son Clint Dewayne Osborne of Conover; and grandchild Zachary Keith Osborne.

A graveside service to celebrate Larry’s life will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Hickory. Rev. Greg Berkey will officiate.
