LENOIR, N.C. - Lisa Jones Banks, 56, of Lenoir, passed away bravely on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Catawba Valley Medical Center.

She was born August 3, 1967 in Catawba County to Lawrence Jones of Conover and the late Ruby Hoilman Jones. Lisa was employed as a cushion filler in the furniture industry. She enjoyed singing with and to her children, dancing to music, worshiping the Lord, watching Star Wars and laying in the sun at the beach.  She was the best mother, daughter, sister and friend……to know her was to love her.

In addition to her lovely mother, Ruby Hoilman Jones, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, David Hodge.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son Matthew Banks of Hickory; daughter Mikala Banks of Newton; father Lawrence Jones of Conover; brothers Gary Jones of Granite Falls, Robert Jones of Conover; sister Regina Hodge of Lenoir; grandchild Abel Good of Newton; in-laws Tina Jones and Pat Hoppes Jones.

A service to commemorate Lisa’s life will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Bennett Funeral Service, 7878 NC Hwy. 10, Newton. Rev. Dr. R.M. (Bo) Calder Jr. will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10-10:45 a.m. at Bennett Funeral Service.
