Smith specializes in mixed-media art and acrylics, watercolors and oil painting. Her work focuses on what used to be considered everyday life in the Appalachian Mountains. She is the owner of the Blue House Studio in Lincolnton, which offers art lessons to youth and adults.
Also from Lincolnton, Webb has carved out quite a reputation for herself over the past 12 years. Her current body of work spotlights endangered and threatened species in the Appalachians.
A portion of the sales from Webb’s “Endangered” series will be donated to the Wildlife Diversity Endowment Fund. This fund helps protect species of greatest conservation need in North Carolina. Every dollar applied to a project or program is matched with federal funding and other grants.
