DENVER, N.C. - Mary Rose Ramsey McDonald, age 94, of Pine Lake Road in Denver, died on Thursday, February 22, 2024.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Westport Baptist Church.

Mrs. McDonald was born May 21, 1929 in Flag, Arkansas, to the late Ulysses Floyd Ramsey and Dortha Agnes Reeves Ramsey.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Neil McDonald Sr.; daughters, Susan McDonald and Cathy Braxton; and brothers, Max Ramsey, Jim Ramsey, Bob Ramsey, and Bill Ramsey.

She is survived by two sons, Marvin N. McDonald Jr. (Terri) of Denver, and Kim McDonald (Laurie) of York, S.C.; daughter, Debbie Burriss (Greg) of Greenville, S.C.; sister, Jo Harmon of Sun Valley Idaho; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.  Her family was such a source of joy in her life.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Westport Baptist Church, or the charity of your choice.
