LENOIR, N.C. - Ricky “Rick” Alvin Sigmon Sr., 50, of Lenoir, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at his residence.

He was born November 28, 1973 in Catawba County to the late Billy Joe Sigmon and to Annie York Baker of Conover. Rick was of the Baptist faith and an avid Patriots fan. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family.

Those left to cherish his memory is his wife of 30 years Chasity Collins Sigmon of the home; son Ricky Sigmon Jr. of Claremont; daughter Haly Sigmon of Stony Point; mother Annie “Ellie” York Baker and husband Johnny of Conover; brothers Scott Sigmon and wife Gina of Catawba, Tony York and wife Kelly of Wilkesboro, Joey Sigmon of Richmond, Va.; sister Jessica Baker Motley and husband Quin of Sherrills Ford; grandchildren Andrew Sigmon, Nicholas Sigmon and Valerie Aamold.

A memorial service to celebrate Ricky’s life will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Bennett Funeral Service, 7878 NC Hwy 16, Newton. Rev. Daniel McGee will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10-10:45 a.m. at Bennett Funeral Service.
