STATESVILLE, N.C. - Clyde Julius Hoyle, 77, of Statesville, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024 at his residence.

He was born May 6, 1947 in Burke County to the late Haywood Julius Hoyle and Ivey Brittian Hoyle. Clyde was a member of Apostolic Tabernacle in Newton and retired as a landscaper. He enjoyed going on vacation, spending time with his family, and loved to fish.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Those left to cherish his memory is his wife of 60 years Alice Tester Hoyle of the home; son Jason Clyde Hoyle and wife Stephanie of Statesville; daughters Shelia Gail Good and husband Alan of Lincolnton, Teresa Ann Bean and husband Danny of Granite Falls, Sharon Elizabeth Smith and husband Randy of Vale; brother Wayne Hoyle and wife Virginia of Lincolnton; sisters Abby Shook of Connelly Springs, Mozelle Ward and husband Harold of Connelly Springs; 13 grandchildren Heather, Brian, Amber, Ryan, Alisha, Ben, Jeremy, Katie, Lauren, Chloe, Hunter, Isabella, and Taylor; and 18 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service to celebrate Clyde’s life will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 4 p.m. at Apostolic Tabernacle in Newton, 1928 W North Carolina 10 Hwy. Rev. Josh Bennett will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3-3:45 p.m. at Apostolic Tabernacle.
