CHERRYVILLE, N.C. - Ms. Carol Ann Black, 68, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Peak Resources in Cherryville.

Carol Ann was born on October 19, 1955 in Bowling Green, Kentucky a daughter of the late Charles "Bit" Black and Mary Alice Motley Black. She attended St. John's Lutheran Church in Cherryville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Black.

Survivors include her aunt, Sonja Black Hoyle of Cherryville; a sister, Jan Embry of Morgantown, Kentucky; and numerous cousins.

A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, 2024 in the Black Family Section of City Memorial Cemetery in Cherryville with the Rev. G. Scott Homesley officiating.

Burial followed the service.

Memorials may be made to any Hospice organization.
