CHERRYVILLE, N.C. - Jewel Margarite Gayle Trees, age 82, of Cherryville, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at her residence.

She was born September 28, 1941 in Gaston County to the late Joseph B. Gayle and Onie Lee Anderson Bolin. Jewel enjoyed arts and crafts.  She was an artist and loved working with ceramics and refinishing furniture.  She also had a great love for animals and provided a home for many rescue pets.  She instilled that love of animals in her family and friends as well.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Vickie Robinette; and brother, Timothy Wayne Bolin.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Lee Trees; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Rob Lego; brothers, Joseph B. Gayle and wife, Betsy June, Charles F. Gayle and wife, June, and Thomas Bolin and wife, Sheila; grandchildren, Leah Noe and husband, Josh, Hunter Hoskinson, and Collin Lego; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Raelyn, and Harley; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved pets, Jolie and Lilly.

No formal services will be held at this time.
