CONOVER, N.C. - Robert “Bob” Braden Foringer Jr., 64, of Conover, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.
He was born on April 3, 1959 in Butler County, Pa. to the late Robert Braden Foringer and to Margaret Jean Klaes. Bob attended Hickory Church of Christ in Hickory and was a truck driver. He was an avid fan of any Pittsburgh sports team (especially the Steelers and Pirates), loved fishing, and enjoyed camping at Buffalo Camp in Blowing Rock. Bob’s favorite moments were spent with his family and friends. He enjoyed playing cards (especially when he won), and nothing meant more to him than his fur babies, Byler (Puggle) and Hank (Basset Hound). They were always at his side, and if they weren’t, he was quick to get out his phone and show off their pictures.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Farr; and son, Randall Hollifield.
Those left to cherish his memory is his significant other Alicia Hollar and her children Noah Hollar, wife AJ, and son, Jedidiah; Megan Hollar; mother Margaret Jean Klaes; brother Douglas Foringer and Stacy Peffer of New Castle, Pa.; sisters Bonny Snyder of Jefferson Hills, Pa., Sharon Osborne and husband Jim of Slippery Rock, Pa., Debbie Samek and husband Paul of North Washington, Pa.; nephews Dakota Boyle, Benjamin Foringer, and John Oswald; and close friend Terrie Arrigo.
A memorial service to celebrate Robert’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of Bennett Funeral Service, 7878 NC Hwy 16, Newton. Rev. Kevin Bibbee will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Service.
