You may have noticed there was no Thursday edition of the Lincoln Times-News this week.  The local print newspaper is switching its publication days.

Publisher Lanny Ford issued the following explanation and update: 

This past Monday, around noon, I received a call from The Kernersville News, who was printing our papers, that they had been sold. The new management informed me, they would be making changes to our print and publication days moving forward to accommodate their existing publications.

I immediately began looking for options to move forward. I have found a new printer for the paper and it will require moving our publishing days from Monday and Thursday to Tuesday and Friday with The Cherryville Eagle being published in the Tuesday editions.

Our new printer can’t start until next Friday, May 17th. The next paper will be delivered next Wednesday, May 15th, containing the Lincoln Times-News and Cherryville Eagle then Friday, May 17th will be the Lincoln Times-News on Fridays and the Lincoln Times-News and Cherryville Eagle moving to Tuesdays.

We will continue with the same amount of content with the Lincoln Times-News and Cherryville Eagle delivered on Tuesdays starting May 21st and Lincoln Times-News on the 17th moving forward. We appreciate your loyalty and understanding as we strive to make this unexpected transition as smooth as possible.
