West Lincoln Congratulates Class Of ’24
LINCOLNTON––West Lincoln High School is saluting its class of 2024.
On Friday, principal Tracy Eley and school counsellor Amy Cable sang the praises of West Lincoln’s latest group of graduates.
“To the class of ’24: I am so proud of them,” said Eley. “They have worked hard to earn their diplomas and are outstanding students. I wish them nothing but the best. Go Rebels!”

Cable shared Eley’s enthusiasm for the 193 grads, including valedictorian Austin Bromley and salutatorian Addison Wright. Look for coverage of Bromley and Wright, coming soon and only here in The Herald.
“This year,” said Cable, “the Lincoln County Schools and West Lincoln High School focused on ‘What is your E?’”
She explained that this means “enrollment, enlistment or employment.”
“Post-graduate planning is a major key to student success,” said Cable.
She informed that in West Lincoln’s class of ’24, 74 percent of the grads plan to attend a four-year university or two-year community college or trade school. Many in the latter category plan to later transfer to a university. Three percent are enlisting in the military, and 23 percent are employed or seeking employment.
“This senior class is highly motivated,” said Cable, adding that its members “are ready to pursue their goals and aspirations beyond high school graduation.”
West Lincoln High will hold its commencement ceremonies in its football stadium on May 24 at 7 p.m.
