Any resident of Catawba County who is 60 or older is invited to join Seniors Morning Out, which is held Monday through Thursday mornings at five convenient locations. A hot, balanced lunch is served each day.

CVCC Foundation Presents Art To United Way

The United Way of Catawba County recently received a special mural. It was made possible courtesy of the Catawba Valley Community College Foundation, Inc., the college’s fine arts department and the Art of Compassion.

Rail Trail Plaza Ribbon Cutting & Splash Pad Dedication Held

Members of the community gathered for a ribbon cutting in celebration of the completion of the plaza and stage located at First Federal Park along the Marcia H. Cloninger Rail Trail in downtown Lincolnton along with a dedication of the splash pad.

Carolina Caring Celebrates Third Graduating Class from CNA Training Program

Catawba County Social Services Employees Complete Training Program

Twelve employees of Catawba County Social Services recently completed a 9-month training program aimed at strengthening their personal and professional leadership skills.

Register For The 2024 July 4th Lincolnton Parade

The party is ON for Independence Day this year! The celebration on Thursday, JULY 4th starts with the parade at 8:30 p.m. and the Fireworks Show at 9:30 p.m. Parade entries are FREE but must be submitted online by midnight July 2.

Susie Davis of Denver received the Appreciation Award. The Appreciation Award recognizes a registered Girl Scout adult who has delivered outstanding service to at least one geographic area or program delivery audience.

The Sound Of Music Is Coming!

The production returns to the James Warren Citizens Center for the first time in 41 years, June 20-22 at 7 p.m. nightly, and again June 22 and 23 at 2 p.m. daily.
