Tennis Update
Lincoln Charter's girls tennis team is now 9-0 after a Thursday (Sept. 14th) win at SouthLake Christian.
Emma Kennedy, Ansley Johnson, Emmy Johnson, Rowan Milligan, and JEnna Worthington all won in singles. Ansley Johnson & Emma Kennedy, Emmy Johnson & Natalie Barger, and Rowan Milligan & McKenzie Mullen won in doubles. The Eagles are scheduled to play Corvian Community from Charlotte at Denver Friday; they play at Community School of Davidson on Tuesday (Sept. 19th) and at Hopewell Wednesday (Sept. 20th). They'll host Christ the King next Friday (Sept. 22nd).
East Lincoln improved to 6-3 on Monday of this week. They had matches scheduled with Maiden on Tuesday and Statesville Wednesday. The rain may have interfered; we didn't get scores or any report about postponement. East is scheduled to play at home against West Iredell Monday (Sept. 18th) and at Foard on Wednesday (Sept. 20th).
North Lincoln (now 5-1) will host North Iredell Monday, play at St. Stephens Wednesday, and at Hickory Thursday.
West Lincoln beat Bandys 8-1 Thursday (Sept. 14th). Addison Wright, Laura Willis, Stacia Cowen, Jada Willis, Kennedy McCumber and Hallie Black all won in singles; Stacia Cowen & Jada Willis, Hallie Black & Kennedy McCumber, in doubles. Celia Parrishand Olivia Belk took Bandys only win--in doubles. West will host Maiden on Tuesday; then play at Bunker Hill on Thursday.
Lincolnton and Bunker Hill were scheduled to play Thursday (Sept. 14th) but we didn't get a score report. The Wolves play at Newton-Conover on Tuesday and host Bandys on Thursday (Sept. 21st) of next week.
While we didn't get a report on East Lincoln va Maiden from Tuesdday (Sept. 12th--may have been rained out), the Blue Devils beat East Burke Thursday. Maiden hosts Hickory Christian on Monday, plays at West Lincoln Tuesday, and hosts West Caldwell Thursday (Sept. 21st).
Fred T. Foard beat West Iredell 9-0 Wednesday. The Tigers host Statesville Monday and East Lincoln Wednesday.
Cherryville lost to Ashbrook Wednesday (Sept. 13th) 9-0. They play Thomas Jefferson Tuesday and Burns on Thursday.
Bandys hosts East Burke Tuesday, then plays at Lincolnton on Thursday.
